A variety of academic backgrounds and fields of expertise are represented including physicians, biostatisticians, applied mathematical statisticians, epidemiologists, nurses, systems analysts, programmers, data managers, data entry personnel, and administrative personnel.
Data Management
Data Management plays a key role in the life cycle of studies coordinated at the EDC, from grant proposal through publications and data archiving.
Data Analytics
The Epidemiology Data Center provides a research environment in which complex health questions can be answered using traditional and emerging statistical techniques.
Technology
The Epidemiology Data Center Information Technology Group provides and maintains an array of network and computing services that support research, academic and administrative initiatives in the department of Epidemiology and the University community.
Project Coordination
The Epidemiology Data Center (EDC) prides itself on the ability of its Project Coordination staff to manage studies of varying sizes and types, whether the EDC is functioning as a Coordinating Center, Data Coordinating Center, Network Management Core, or other organizational component.
Katherine Detre Scholar
The Katherine Detre Scholarship has been established to supplement financial support provided through a Graduate Student Researcher (GSR) position in the Epidemiology Data Center. Recipients of this scholarship are promising incoming students who exemplify the strengths and spirit of Katherine Detre.
