EDC research has big presence at Obesity Week!
Wendy King, EDC faculty, is this year’s recipient of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’s Circle of Excellence Award, which is presented at Obesity Week. The purpose of the annual Circle of Excellence Award is to recognize and honor an outstanding ASMBS member who has made a significant contribution to the Integrated Health Sciences Section.
Faculty from the EDC are authors on 2 Top Ten Papers*, a Top Ten Bariatric Surgery Poster*, and 3 other presentations at Obesity Week which will take place Oct. 31 – Nov. 4, 2016 in New Orleans, LA. Obesity Week is the combined annual meeting of The Obesity Society (TOS) (http://www.obesity.org/home) and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). The preeminent annual scientific and educational conference covers the full scope of the obesity issue, from cutting edge basic science and clinical research to intervention and public policy discussions that can impact the quality of life for millions affected by obesity.
